A source list that says youtube.com or reddit.com leaves you with more work to do. SurfacedBy’s Communities tab identifies the channel behind a cited video and the subreddit behind a cited thread, so you can see which creators and communities appear in the answers to your tracked prompts.
Open Citations & Sources, then Communities. The rows show the cited sources, how many collected answers cited them, and which assistants did. A “With you” badge means your brand also appeared in those answers, either linked or named. It does not mean the video or thread itself mentioned you.

Filter to YouTube to look at the videos and their channel names. That gives you specific material to watch when deciding whether video belongs in your content work: what question is the creator answering, and what does the video explain? Names can be missing while a lookup is pending or when a video cannot be resolved.

Bring cited Reddit threads into your queue
For Reddit, you can send a cited thread from Communities to the Engagement queue for review. It carries a Cited source badge so you can distinguish it from a conversation found through monitoring. Some cited threads also arrive in the queue automatically.

Read the thread before deciding whether to reply. A citation shows that a collected answer referenced the thread; it does not tell you that a promotional comment belongs there or will earn a future citation. SurfacedBy does not publish the reply for you. You post it from your own account, with copy-and-paste or browser-extension assistance.
Watch for new conversations in those communities
Citation history shows what assistants have already cited. Community monitoring helps you find new conversations in selected subreddits. Its suggested watch list starts with communities appearing in your citation data, then adds relevant communities from your niche. You can change the list before saving it.
Under Actions, open the Engagement queue and choose Manage watch list. Set the communities, topics, competitors and people you want to follow. Monitoring looks within that chosen scope; it is not a complete search of Reddit.

The Communities view and Reddit monitoring are available on paid plans. Watch-list limits and checking frequency depend on the plan. Sending a cited thread to the queue requires editor access and an active engagement queue; AI reply drafting is available on Professional and Agency. The community monitoring page lists the current plan allowances.
For wider sourcing trends, the AI Search Index provides benchmark context. If the video results raise questions about what to create, our guide to video and AI visibility takes that further. The useful first step is to look at the sources your own prompts return, before treating a popular channel or community as relevant to your brand.
